Goldpark Nauders
The peak of holiday fun
Would you like to have a whole mountain of adventures on your holiday? You can have them!
At the Goldpark, directly in front of the Bergkastel Panorama restaurant in Nauders, unforgettable experiences await holiday guests of all ages. From gold panning to rafting and from the Bergkastel Bike Base to the giant sand pit – the real holiday highlights are at home up on the mountain!
It almost goes without saying that the beautiful Bergkastel is also a popular destination for hikers. Some of the prettiest hikes in the region start from the Bergkastel cable car!
Goldpark Nauders
Goldwasser Nauders
A little water world of its own: Whoever enters the Goldwasser area – right next to the panorama restaurant – immerses themselves in an impressive miniature landscape of small huts and jetties, pirate ship and water wheel and much more around the 690 m² leisure lake. The children have all the space they need to let off steam, experiment and develop their imagination – in the middle of nature and, above all, with nature.
For 3-year-olds up to 14-year-olds, Goldwasser offers a huge range of educational and varied stations. You can seesaw on animals and swing in nests, slide down the 5 metre tower and spin in the tree merry-go-round.
Or pan for gold, capture the pirate ship and ride a raft, play the forest xylophone and jump in the air on the trampoline.
Where there is water, there must of course also be sand. That is why there is the giant sand pit, where the kids dig and build with the digger.
Goldbike Park
One of the coolest biking areas in the Alps is located at an altitude of 2,200 metres on the Bergkastel plateau: The Goldbike Park introduces little ones to the sport step by step. Just like in a ski course, you go uphill on a magic carpet and downhill on flat, fun circuits. Step by step, the little bikers can progress intuitively and playfully on the four trails – up to mini-jumps and doubles, stone fields and Northshore elements. We guarantee: They will soon be showing parents how it is done – and also gain a lot of safety for cycling in everyday life.
There is a rental station for scooters and bikes including helmets and protectors directly on site. And our experienced bike guides are on hand at the Goldbike Park with advice and practical help.
If you and your family are looking for a tougher challenge, why not try the Zirm trail? It’s one of the easiest trails in the alps and offers an unforgettable nature experience. Take the Zirmbahn lift from Bergkastel up to an altitude of 2,550 metres and begin the 6 kilometre-long ride. You will be able to enjoy views of Nauders the entire time and can admire the 3,000 metre tall peaks in neighbouring Switzerland and Italy. In summer, the Zirmbahn lift is in operation from mid-June to end-September.
Goldcarts
Brand new from summer 2023 - the Goldpark Carts!
The 3-wheeled carts go at high speed from the mountain station of the Bergkastel cable car with lots of fun and action down into the valley.
Whether young or old - fun for the whole family is guaranteed here!
Tip: With the Goldpark Card or Goldpark Family Card there is a special price on the trip with the Goldpark carts.
Goldgrat via ferrata
The new Goldpark highlight is the first via ferrata educational trail in the Alps, which teaches the most important basics for via ferrata at five stations: The Goldgrat route leads to the 2,912 metre high Bergkastelspitze. From the summit station of the Zirmbahn you start on the trail, which can be adapted to all ages and skill levels due to its stage design. There is also the possibility to descend onto the hiking trail four times.
Those who are in good shape and have good footing can climb the entire kilometre at dizzy heights to the almost 3,000-metre-high summit - and enter all five stamps in their Gold pass. Young climbers later receive a reward for this.
Bullzone
Around the rustic Stieralm there is a very special challenge for little riddle solvers – and a special reward: Anyone who can solve the eight riddles can pick up a surprise gift at the Stieralm. Incidentally, the wooden sculptures at the eight stations were designed by our local artist Christian Waldegger.
If you have put your head to the test, you should not let your body rest. And that is why the puzzles are followed by the Fit Bull fitness course for young and old. You can put your dexterity, endurance and strength to the test eight times. Who can jump the highest? Who is the most flexible? And who is the strongest? An exciting competition between Mum, Dad, Uncle, Aunt and the kids...
Mountain pleasure restaurants
Mountain air makes you hungry – and mountain adventures even more so! So it’s good that on the Bergkastel Adventure Mountain there are nearly as many places to stop for refreshments as there are attractions. From the romantic mountain hut to the castle tavern, from the panorama restaurant to the rustic alpine pasture – there are plenty of options to fill up the energy stores with sweet and hearty dishes. From the terrace of the Sunnastuba and the Sunnabar directly on the Bergkastel, you can also enjoy a snack with a view of the Goldwasser while the kids let off steam.
But the MOUNTAIN PLEASURE Restaurants don’t stop at being the perfect place to stop for a snack on a family trip. They also offer an unparalleled atmospheric setting for events of any kind: A wedding, a company celebration or a birthday party up on the mountain won’t be forgotten in a hurry.
Family walking trails
The unique mountain terrain around Nauders is a much-loved meeting point for hikers. No wonder, since lakes, mountain pastures, blooming alpine flowers and unrivalled panoramas line the routes. The beautiful trails of all levels of difficulty start out directly from the Bergkastel cable car station. Discover, for example, glittering reservoirs and old bunkers on the easy ‘Plamortrunde’.
